Set a Rogaine - process by Nick Lethbridge

This manual is intended to provide guidance to rogaining organisers and rogaine course setters and vetters on the organising, setting and vetting processes. It is recognised that the processes used will vary widely from place to place and event to event.

Organising - Running your own Rogaine

Running your own Rogaine

Feeling ready to run your own rogaine and follow in the footsteps of those who have competed, loved the sport, and organized their own events? Read on.

Help in running your rogaine can be found from local and regional rogaining groups. They should be able to provide information, support and publicity for your event. Obtain a copy of Costigan's Organizing a Rogaine, a manual published by the International Rogaining Federation that covers every aspect of a successful event.

If you are in an area where there are no groups that can give you support, the IRF will publicise your event and provide information about rules and standards for the event. The IRF can also arrange for an experienced rogainer to check your map and proposed checkpoint layout and give advice. We have calculated full moon dates until 2016.

For more details about rogaine organization, go to the Resources page.
